Salary & Commission: Competitive base + uncapped commission (OTE 2.5x base)

We’re looking for a proven Business Development Manager to join our consultancy. Someone who can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, close high-value deals with enterprise clients, and help clients achieve long-term value in their energy and utility strategy.
What you’ll be doing
Drive new business across large multi-site and international clients
Sell Consultus’ suite of services through a consultative, insight-led approach
Engage senior stakeholders with tailored, commercially sound solutions
Own your region and pipeline with support from marketing and sector specialists
Represent the Consultus values in every interaction, with professionalism and purpose
You must have a track record of selling:
· Utility procurement
For high-consumption, multi-site and/or international organisations – including electricity, gas, water, and metering. You’ll understand fixed, flexible, and consortia-based strategies inside out
· Market intelligence & risk management
You’ve sold insight-driven buying strategies, risk advisory, and active trading support, helping clients buy smarter in volatile markets
· Renewable sourcing
You’re confident advising on green certificates, off-site PPAs, and embedding sustainability into energy procurement decisions
· Utility bureau services
You understand the value of invoice validation, payment bureau, and robust financial/data reporting – and know how to position these services with finance and operations leads
· Cost optimisation
You’ve delivered cost recovery and analytics-led savings, using data to improve long-term client performance
