Energy Bureau Administrator (Client Facing)
Also known internally as Bureau Specialist

In our Bureau team, you’ll split your time roughly between two main areas:
60% focused, detail-driven work - validating invoices, checking figures, and making sure data is accurate.
40% problem-solving with people - answering client queries, resolving issues, and keeping things moving.
Some days will feel steady and structured - checking, validating, reporting. Others will throw you variety, with deadlines and queries that need quick thinking. If you like consistency but don’t mind curveballs, you’ll thrive here.

What the role involves
Validating utility invoices with accuracy and consistency
Keeping validation software and internal systems up to date
Producing reports and payment files for clients
Responding to client and supplier queries by email and phone, and keeping clear records of resolutions
Supporting cost-saving initiatives with your analytical insights

Essential experience/skills:
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with a wide range of office applications, including Word and Excel
Comfortable writing professional emails and handling phone queries
Quick to learn new analytical or office tools
Self-motivated, organised, and reliable under pressure
Nice to have (but not essential):
Knowledge of energy/utilities
Previous invoice validation experience
Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools

Practical details
Salary: £25,000
Hours: 37.5/week, Monday–Friday (flexible)
Location: Leicester – office-based Monday to Thursday for the first three months, with Fridays from home. Once settled in, you’ll have more flexibility to work from home
