Job description

Are you naturally analytical, detail-driven, and passionate about using data to make a real difference? At Consultus, we’re looking for a Reporting Analyst to join our growing International Operations team as we continue to support clients across the globe.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to work with some of the world’s leading organisations, helping them navigate complex energy data and make more informed, sustainable decisions.
You’ll be at the heart of our international reporting delivery service; building and maintaining critical mark to market reports, solving problems, and improving processes that underpin global client success.
You will work with trade, market, and operational data across multiple regions, taking ownership of reporting outputs and identifying opportunities to enhance how we deliver for clients.
Why join us?
At Consultus, we work together across teams and regions to deliver excellence, value, and innovation, and we’ve been recognised with industry awards for doing just that. In this role, you’ll:
Develop multiple skill sets: negotiation, commercial awareness, and technical data analysis
Drive innovation: contribute to the design, continuous improvement, and implementation of new reporting processes
Work globally: communicate with suppliers and clients across multiple markets and cultures
Grow continually: our people are encouraged to learn, develop, and grow their careers every day
Make an impact: your work will have a visible and tangible effect on client outcomes
What you’ll be doing:
Build, maintain and update client mark to market reports using Excel and internal reporting tools
Enter trade data and collaborate with our Risk and Procurement teams to ensure client market exposure is accurate
Maintain trackers for reporting delivery and ensure timelines are met
Investigate and resolve data quality issues, identifying root causes, designing solutions, and improving processes to prevent recurrence while ensuring first-time, error-free outputs
Work cross-functionally to collect and validate information, ensuring clients receive accurate and timely reports
Support continuous improvement of reporting processes, aligned with our values of excellence and delight
Clearly document methodologies and explain both your findings and the steps taken to resolve issues, enabling stakeholders to understand and trust the reporting process
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
Experience working with large and complex data sets in a commercial or operational environment
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills – including pivot tables, charts, formulas like IF, COUNTIF, UNIQUE, XLOOKUP, and conditional formatting
Experience working with UK-based stakeholders or within UK commercial or reporting practices
Confident and clear communicator, able to calmly explain the steps and reasoning behind analyses, prioritise effectively in both daily and longer-term tasks, identify efficiencies, and follow through to implement practical solutions.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Ability to interrogate data, identify issues and translate technical information into clear and simple insights
Analytical mindset with strong problem solving skills
Strong initiative and self-starter attitude – comfortable taking ownership, working independently, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset
A proactive and innovative approach: comfortable not only improving existing processes, but designing new solutions where needed
A genuine interest in energy and sustainability, and how data drives informed decision-making
Desirable:
Experience in the energy or utilities sector is beneficial given the complexity of client reporting
Experience in a similar data or reporting role, even outside the energy sector, would be a strong advantage
Experience with Power BI and/or Power Query
Familiarity with managing data within a CRM, especially Microsoft Dynamics
Ready to bring your data skills to an ambitious, international company where your work matters?
