Job title: Sales Lead Generator (Assured Energy)

Working hours: 37.5 hours (Monday – Friday)

Location: Leicester (Hybrid - 1-4 days in the office)

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 + uncapped commission

The role

As a Sales Lead Generator, you will play a crucial role in expanding Assured Energy’s customer base and driving business growth. You will be responsible for collecting, evaluating and qualifying leads within the energy sector, building relationships with potential clients and connecting them to our Sales team, to drive revenue whilst managing your pipeline.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound calls and sending emails to potential customers, to look to receive a quotation for electricity, gas, water and other services we offer
  • Building a strong pipeline of potential customers; building rapport, fact finding, understanding the client needs and objection handling
  • Booking appointments and/or warm transferring the customer to the Sales team
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of leads, interactions, and progress in our CRM
  • Understanding contractual obligations and market trends in the energy industry
  • Maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates
  • Achieving monthly revenue and KPI targets


What you need

To be successful in your Sales Lead Generator application, you must have at least 6 months’ experience in outbound lead generation, dialling or telemarketing, with a strong understanding of sales processes and how they are implemented. You must also be:

  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently
  • A team player with a flexible, resilient and positive approach
  • Organised with good time management and planning skills
  • Persuasive, with strong communication and negotiation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Highly accurate with a keen focus on attention to detail
  • Proficient in using CRM software and / or other lead generation tools with strong pipeline and data management
  • Computer literate with excellent IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Energy industry experience is desirable, as knowledge of energy products and services would be a great advantage, but it’s not essential.

Similarly, B2B sales experience is preferred, but not essential, so if you have B2C sales experience we’d still love to hear from you!
